One day Billy was playing outside.

Billy noticed he was short of breath and started wheezing.

Billy had to rest while the other kids could keep playing.

Billy's mom saw this, and took Billy to a doctor.

The Doctor said Billy had Asthma, causing difficulties breathing.

If Billy didn't treat his asthma, his doctor said his shortness of breath would only get worse.

If untreated asthma gets really bad, you could end up in the hospital.
So Billy's doctor gave him an inhaler.

Asthma constricts muscles in your airways under distress.

This causes difficulty breathing, coughing and wheezing.

An inhaler uses muscle relaxing chemicals to prevent and treat this.

Billy has to use this inhaler any time he wants to play outside or if he experiences breathing symptoms.

As long as Billy uses his inhaler, he can play every day like the other kids

He should also avoid certain 'triggers' specified by his doctor, such as exercising in intense heat.

Be careful Billy
