To all the travelers and aspiring travelers.

Barnaby the goat loved winter. She loved sledding and throwing snowballs. Most of all, she loved snuggling under a blanket with a cup of hot cocoa and a plate of cookies.

One day, she was doing just that, when she realized she was starting to get bored of winter. She was also feeling a little cold. "I need a vacation," she thought.

She took out her travel guide and looked for warm places to travel. After a while, she finally decided on a cruise to Hawaii. There was going to be a luau, a huge beach party, there in a couple of weeks. Barnaby LOVED parties. She started packing right away.

The next day, she went to the airport, checked her bags, and waited to board her plane. She couldn't wait to go to Hawaii! Plus, she'd never been on a cruise before! Finally, it was time to board.

Finally it was time to fly. Barnaby knew it would be long, so she bought some popcorn and turned on an in-flight movie. Good thing it was a long, funny one. Finally, it was time to land.

As soon as she boarded the cruise ship, Barnaby checked into her room, unpacked her stuff, and prepared to go to the water park.

The waterpark was a lot of fun. Barnaby played volleyball, won a splash contest, and even rode a giant waterslide! "If the cruise is this fun," she thought, "Imagine how fun the luau must be!"

After many more days of waterslides, Swimming and other cruise ship activities, they finally docked in Hawaii. A tour guide welcomed Barnaby with a lei(say it like lay) and an "aloha," which meant hello in Hawaiian.

As soon as she checked into her room, Barnaby rented a wetsuit and a surfboard and went surfing. She'd never surfed before, but she managed to stay riding the waves for a long time.

The next day, Barnaby went snorkeling. She dove really deep and saw lots of colorful fish, turtles, and even a huge whale and her baby.

The next day was the day before the luau. Barnaby played in the sand and built a sand castle. A fish even hopped up and squirted water into the moat!

The day of the luau, Barnaby was walking down the beach. Out of nowhere, she spotted a sign-up sheet for a surfing contest. The winner got to be king or queen of the luau. Quickly, she wrote her name on the sheet.
