Hi! My name is Tony Thyrodius Stark, but my friends call me Starky. I am a follicular cell which is the BEST cell in the entire body. Where me and my friends are, we are a part of thyroid tissue. The thyroid tissue is located in the thyroid gland and the thyroid gland is a part of the endocrine system of the body.

This is what goes on inside me! I make a protein called thyroglobulin. That protein gets connected to iodine in the colloid and then goes into lysosomes. The lysosomes split the thyroglobulin into thyroxide (T3) and triiodothyronine (T4) which are hormones. These hormones then go into the bloodstream next to me to be taken to other parts of the body where it is needed.
