One day, after little Jimmy got back from playing at recess, his teacher, Ms. Melody called him up to her BIG wooden desk.

Then Ms. Melody said,

Little Jimmy, it looks like you have a new mole. Has your mommy noticed?

Little Jimmy touched his face to find the spot on his face. Then he replied, saying

No, she hasn't. What's a mole, Ms. Melody?

Ms Melody answered,

A mole is a small, slightly raised blemish on the skin made dark by a high concentration of melanin.

and told little Jimmy he should show his mommy when he got home.

So, when little Jimmy got home, he told his mom about the mole.

His mom said

When did you get that? Let's take you to the dermatologist, a skin doctor, to check it out!
