Bill Nye has a math test on friday. It is on polynomials. Can YOU help Bill Nye study?

First Bill Nye needs to learn how to add polynomials.
TO add polynomials:To add polynomials we simply add any like terms together. Like terms are terms whose variables and their exponents are the same.

Then he did a practice problem.
(4+n^3)+(5n^3+2)
Then he did a practice problem.

The answer was.
(4+n^3)+(5n^3+2)
6n^3+6

First Bill Nye needs to learn how to subtract polynomials.
TO subtract polynomials:To subtract polynomials we simply add any like terms together.

Then he did a practice problem.
(3x^4-3x)-(3x-3x^4)
Then he did a practice problem.

The answer was.
(3x^4-3x)-(3x-3x^4)
6x^4-6x

First Bill Nye needs to learn how to multiply polynomials.
TO multiply polynomials : Distribute each term of the first polynomial to every term of the second polynomial. Remember that when you multiply two terms together you must multiply the coefficient and add the exponents. Combine like terms.
