To all those baseball players

Do you know who Derek Jeter is? Well, he is a hall of fame baseball player.
I am inspired by this person because he set high standards for himself and reached to achieve them as best as he could. And because he set high set high standards for himself and reached them, he became a Hall of Fame baseball player
Derek Jeter had 14 All Star selections, five Gold Glove Awards, five Slugger awards, two Hank Aaron awards, and a Roberto Clemente award. His career stats are as followed (according to BaseballReference.com) 11,195 at bats, 3,465 hits 260 home runs, .310 batting average, 358 stolen bases, 1,923 runs scored, 1,311 runs batted in. If you don't know a lot about Derek Jeter you should keep reading.
A lot of people ask where Derek Jeter went to college. Well the answer to that is he didn't go to college, because he was drafted first round by the Yankees after graduating from Kalamazoo High School in Michigan, not many people get drafted right out of high school. But he was offered a scholarship to go to the University of Michigan.
In 1996, Derek Jeter became the starting shortstop for the New York Yankees, in his first season, he had a batting average of .314, and 71 RBIs(runs batted in), and soon he would be named AL(American League) player of the year. Derek Jeter broke his ankle going for a ground ball against the Detroit Tigers, that would end his season. He has had many other season ending injuries as well.
In conclusion, Derek Jeter has achieved a lot in his MLB career. Even with the injuries that he has had, he still probably succeeded in most of his goals. Since I am a baseball player too, I want to reach for and do what he did, but maybe even better.
