Geography
In our 7th grade geography, one thing we learned about was the seven continents. North America, South America, Europe, Antartica, Africa, Asia, and Austrailia. Also, if you've ever heard of latitude and longitude lines, they both go along with geography.

Economics
Economy, really means the same thing as money. In 7th grade we learned about the different types of economies such as command, traditional, market, and mixed economies. All the countries around the world have different ways of trade. We also talked about the importance of banks, and the GDP in each country.
In a traditional economy, we don't use technology.

They farm, hunt, and gather all their food by themselves.
And I work inside the house doing all the cooking and cleaning.
Government
In our government unit, we learned about a bunch of different types of government around the world. Like tribal rule, democracies, monarchies, dictatorship, oligarchies, and more. An example of a dictatorship is in North Korea. North Korea has Kim Jong Un as their leader, and he uses his power to stay in control.

During our culture lesson, we learned about the different ways of life around the world. Some things we talked about was their beliefs, ideas, clothing, and food. We also found out that cultures can influence other cultures too.

Religion
If you've ever heard of Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, or Islam, those are all religions that we talked about during our 7th grade religion unit. We compared religions from all different kinds of places, and learned some of the different beliefs for each country.

In my religion of Christianity, we go to church and believe in one God. Sunday mornings are usually the day we go to worship at church. We'll listen to the preacher preach, and they sing in the church also.

River Civilizations
Egypt, Indus Valley, and Mesopotamia are all the river civilizations that we took notes on and learned about. Egypt is most famous for it's pyramids and King Tut. Indus Valley's major cities are Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro. Lastly, Mesopotamia is a city-state. It's made up of the city, and the area it controls.

Here in Mesopotamia, Ziggurats are the place of worship. Kind of like a church is for Christians. We're a city-state.
