What is Globalization?
Globalization is the way that countries and people of the world interact and unite. Globalization is divided into three categories: economic, cultural and political.

What is Economic Globalization?
Economic globalization is how countries are coming together as one big global economy. This makes international trade way easier! Countries make alliances and international agreements which benefit their relationships.

Economic Globalization
An example of economic globalization is how people use the internet to buy and sell things online. You might know this as online shopping! Have you or anyone you know been online shopping and bought something from a different country?

Cultural Globalization
Cultural globalization is when the culture in different countries are becoming alike. This would mean that some people around the world are acting in a way that is very similar.

Cultural Globalization
Have you ever visited a different country? Did you see things that you would normally see in your country? It doesn't matter if you went to India, Australia or the United States of America, you have probably seen something that is similar. For example, McDonald's is a very common thing to see in most tourist countries. Next time you go somewhere look out to see how many McDonald's stores you see!

Political Globalization
Political globalization is how governments and powerful leaders of countries can influence the world and the decisions we make.

Political Globalization
The United Nations (UN) is a good example of political globalization. Most countries around the world are members of its General Assembly. The UN can make countries follow rules and can punish those who don't follow.

People are able to buy and sell a variety of products and services
Globalization creates laws and regulations so that countries are able to trade with other countries. By doing this more goods and services are coming from different countries and are available to customers around the world. This is a good thing because people can have different types of goods or services to use from all around the world. This is also good for companies so they can sell more of their services or products.

So.. is Globalization good or bad?

Is Globalization good or bad?
Of course, there are always different opinions whether something is good or not. Globalization is a good thing for countries to be involved as there are many benefits to it. Let's have Trixie explain to us why it is good!

Why is Globalization good?
Globalization is very beneficial because it erases boarders between countries and each country is learning about different cultures and what is normal for them. This allows our world to be more accepting and understanding of other cultures.

Why is Globalization good?
Do you have friends that are from a different country? Ask them what products are normal for them to have in their country and see if you have those products here. If you do, that is called Globalization!

Why is Globalization good?
Globalization is connected to free trade. Free trade creates jobs, makes companies more competitive and makes prices lower for people.

Why is Globalization Good?
This is a good thing for you, the future of this world because that means there would be more job opportunities. It also is good because it means that you can buy some of your favourite things for even cheaper than you do right now! This includes toys!
