Knights
-The knights protected farmers and peasants
-Knights where first and most importantly warriors
-Knights fought in battles that were historical moments
-Knights started training when they were seven
The plague
-The plague wiped out town and killed everyone
-The plague has two names the plague or the black death
-The plague filled villages with dead or dying victims
-You could survive the plague but the chances where low








Vikings
-The Vikings were a smart, creative, artistic, democratic people
-Vikings ruled parts of Europe for over 600 years
-vikings believed in magical charms
-When a major battle was planned vikings gathered 2,000 or more men
Castles
-Initially they were designed to hold down conquered territory
-They were also impressive symbols of the power and wealth of their owners
-The walls where very thick anywhere between 8 and 20 feet
-One of the best ways a tower was pulled down was undermining an enemy soldier would dig under the castle and dig up once they where under the castle
Siege weapons
-The Ballista looked like a giant crossbow that shot giant arrows
-The catapult shot giant rocks
-A Trebuchet was like a catapult but it used weight to help it fire
-The battering ram was a giant stick with a metal ram head at the front and it destroyed castle gates







Peasants/serfs
-The middle ages was between 500 and 1500 CE it was the age of feudalism and manors, of lords, ladies, knights, serfs, and peasants
-There was a huge difference between peasants and serfs
-Serfs could not be bought and sold they could not leave their land without permission
-Peasants where sort of free sometimes they could own a business or a small piece of land
