Too much power is placed in the central
government.
The people must understand that there is a
large amount of power needed in order to
preserve the union.

The new form of government has been
created with the nation's best interests in
mind. This includes the interests of the
people. If it had not been made this way, it
would have rightfully been rejected.

State Governments will indirectly have power
over the federal governments. They will elect
the federal officials. In addition to this, state
governments will have many more employees
than the federal government.

State Governments will mainly be focused on
internal affairs while the federal government
will focus on external affairs. The state
governments will also be more necessary
during times of peace which will occur much
more often than times of war.

The concepts of the new constitution are not
different from the ones found in the Articles of
Confederation. Rather, they are a
strengthening of these original concepts. The
main issue is in the federal power to tax, but
the only difference is in the focus on the
individual rather than on the state.

People are concerned about whether the
federal, or the state government will be
supported more. These people must
understand that they are not two separate,
competing governments, but rather, are
designed to work in harmony and with the best
interests of the people in mind.

The federal and state governments will
provided checks and balances with one
another. Here the advantage is clearly with
state governments as the people are more
vested in the governments of the states.

The federal government would not take any
risk of endangering the favor of the people by
attempting to enforce oppressive legislation
over that states. Even if such legislation was
passed, the citizens of the states would simply
refuse to comply with it.

If the federal government wasn't responsive to
the protest of the people, the states could
easily unite and overthrow the government, so
why would the government be foolish enough
not to listen to the people? Clearly it is
established with their best interests in mind.
