One morning, Muru and Priya were walking to their classroom.

Then, they saw 4 colourful bins and a sign that said "Let's recycle!".

As the children were thinking, a man with green hair and a green cape appeared.

"I am the Super Recycler and I am here to teach you all about recycling!" said the green man.

He tells the children that the colourful bins are called recycling bins, which is where recyclables go.

"Recycling means turning trash into something new and useful for us", says the Super Recycler.

Priya wanted to know if she can recycle her apple.

The Super Recycler tells the children that food cannot be recycled. Leftover food should be thrown in the dustbin.

Only recyclables like cans, plastic bags, glass bottles and toilet rolls can be recycled. They must be sorted into the bins.

Muru was curious about what happens to the recyclables after they go in the bins, so they visited a recycling centre.

The children watched the recyclables get sorted, cleaned and crushed in a big machine.

"After going through the machine, the recyclables can be made into so many useful

things!", the Super Recycler tells the children.
