What is augmented reality?

Think of augmented reality as a way to combine technology and your true environment. Unlike virtual reality, it doesn't bring us any place different...it just adds to what we see around us.

How does it work?

Devices use GPS and the compass. When you scan a trigger image, something else appears in your view.

You have most likely used augmented reality! Think of Pokemon Go! or a Heads Up display in a car.

How could I use it in my classroom?

Augmented reality can be as simple as scanning QR codes to check an answer, or as complex as walking students through a physics assignment.
