Atoms have electrical charges, electrons that have a negative charge (-), and protons that have a positive charge (+). These protons and electrons attract! But like charges repel...
Electric Currents are flows of electric charges. Although we can't see it, there are electrons flowing through the power lines!

Electrical Circuits use batteries and electric generators to force charges to move through the wires of the circuit from one terminal to another. The wires move this way to power this toy car!
Conductors, such as metals, allow charges to flow easily through them. Look at these metal wires, and the spark created from them!
Insulators are substances that do not allow charges to flow. When working with powerful electric devices, electricians often use rubber gloves for safety!

Electrical Insulators restrict electron flow in electrical circuits. These electrical wires do this in order to control the flow of electricity, they even help control the electricity that goes to our homes!

A Complete Circuit is a complete loop of electricity flowing through it. The battery sends electricity through the wire to the light bulb, which send electricity to the other end of the battery!

An incomplete circuit is a circuit where the path has been interrupted. It is also known as an open circuit. Because the circuit is open, electricity will no longer flow!

Series and parallel circuits are two different types of circuits used for electrical devices. A series circuit has one connection followed by another in a series. However, a parallel circuit has multiple connections split apart so the current splits up when powering them. These images shows the difference between the two!
