It was just another ordinary day at our school. I stared outside the windows in our classroom pondering about my life since I cannot concentrate on our current class as of the moment.
"How do we know that we exist? Why do we even exist? What is our purpose in life?" These are only some of the questions that wandered into my mind while I was daydreaming.
Perhaps it was because of our Philosophy class but I continued to wonder about these questions. I asked myself about what I should do to make my life meaningful but it seems that I cannot get the answers that I am looking for right now.
Suddenly, I saw the construction workers working outside the school. I tried to guess what do they live for and I think it is to give their family a better life.
Then, I turned my gaze upon our professor and thought, "What does she want to live for?" I assumed that it was her passion to educate the youth since education is really important for us to succeed in the future.
After having all these assumptions, I asked myself, "what do I want to live for?" I thought that maybe I need to understand myself more to answer this rhetorical question.
In the meantime, I want to work hard and try to improve my current self. I would probably start by recognizing and accepting my weaknesses. Through this, I can make them one of my strengths so that I would grow to be a better individual in the future.
Although being a better person does not help me find the answers that I am looking for, I truly believe that it is going to be a step in the right direction.
