Human Migration involves the movement of people from one place to another. These people have intentions of settling temporarily or permanently at a new location.

Overtime, people have migrated voluntarily and involuntarily for many different economic reasons. Reason such as work related opportunities, social or political persecution.

People also migrate because of push and pull factors. A push factor influences people to move out of their current location, and a pull factor encourages people to move to a new location.

Environmental push and pull factors also are contributing motivations to human migration. An example of a push factor would be the lack and or the abundance of  water in a community. Too much water could cause a lot of flooding and destroy homes and property, whereas too little water could cause drought and human dehydration.

An environmental pull factor would be attractions such as warmer climate, mountain views, and being near the beach or shore.
