Hey Megan! My teacher asked if we knew what the word globalization meant today. I didn't know what to tell her. 

 Globalization is a process of interaction and integration among people from different nations, businesses/companies from different nations, and governments of different nations. 

I remember my teacher talking about how globalization has had many impacts on the USA but she didn't go into details.

I can tell you a few impacts of globalization in the USA.

Globalization caused trade to increase dramatically in the late 1900s/early 2000s because multinational corporations have global reach and increasing power, travel and shipping are cheap, and governments have decreased tariffs and regulations on international trade.

it sounds like globalization was a good thing for the USA as well as other countries. She also mentioned another word, Eurocentric. 

If you haven't heard of Eurocentric I can explain what that word means as well. It means focusing on European culture or history to the exclusion of a wider view of the world. This is a bag thing.
