It was raining cats and dogs… and snails that day! Comet was dashing to school splashing from puddle to puddle like a ray!

“Totally wet

memorising the alphabet

you can bet

I’m not getting to school yet…

but look who I’ve… met!”

Staring back at her there was the tinniest littlest snail!

“Watch out, rushing girl

You are going to harm my tiny shell”

Comet just realised that she was about to crash! More than that, Comet realised how desolated the little snail felt.

“What has happened teeny tiny snail? 

What can I do to help you feeling well?”

The grumpy crabby touchy snail was about to send her away. But she was beaming bright and nice, so he changed his mind and try to explain her, clear and concise:

“All the animals from here make fun of me 

Because of how sluggish and sticky and slimy I can be!”

The girl grabbed the snail and patted his shell to make him feel well. 

“If you want to learn how to run 

I can show you; it would be fun!”

The snail smiled back at her, while his sticky skin got glued to her hair.

“Would you be gentle and kind

and show me how to get places in time?”

“Sure thing! That’s so cool!

I’ll show you my favourite moves!”
