This book would not have been possible without the help and encouragement of my sister, Ridaa Dadani, my friend, Momina Mazhar, and of course my ISM teacher, Ms. Secord.

Meet Camila And Her Friends
Hello Everyone, meet Camila! Camila is a 4th grade student and is an only child. She loves to spend time with her family, especially travelling and learning about different cultures. For her to be able to do all these things, Camila's body needs to work properly. This is why we will take a look inside Camila and meet her friends. First, we have Dani, the DNA, who lives inside Camila’s cells and has all the information for how Camila’s body should work. Dani has 23 clones of herself, also known as chromosome pairs, each of these clones has different information about different parts of her body. We will be focusing on the 21st clone, which mainly controls growth and development. Dani and her 21st clone both work together to make sure Camila is growing and developing properly.

Oh No! An Extra arm!
Unlike other people we have met, Camila had not always been a healthy, growing child. Since she was born, the doctors noticed that something was wrong. Camila’s body was not developed normally and her features were abnormal compared to other healthy babies. The doctors however did some basic tests and did not find anything wrong at the time. However, as she grew up, the problems become worse until now when her parents decided it was time to visit the doctor again. The doctor found that there was a problem with Dani’s 21st clone where instead of having two arms or chromosomes, the clone had 3. This extra arm was causing a problem with the way Camila’s body was supposed to grow and develop. Dani had Down syndrome Trisomy 21, so all the cells in her body had Dani’s 21st clone with a third arm.
