There was a girl named Skye. She lived in what she thought was a perfect country. The country was called Volta. Volta let her know what was right, wrong, and protected her.

Skye lived in a poorer part of Volta called Lockwood, in a little house with only her mother.

One night, Skye's mother snuck out past curfew to get a loaf of bread because she and Skye haven't eaten for multiple days.

While Skye's mother was sneaking, a flame soldier of Volta caught her and took her away.

Back at home, Skye waited for her mother to come home. But her mother never came. Then Skye heard a knock on her door.
She opened the door and a flame soldier walked into her house.

"Why are you in my house? Where's my mom?" Skye asked.
The flame soldier replied, "Your mom went missing so I'm here to live in your house and monitor you."
"I don't need monitoring, and there's no way my mom just went missing." Skye protested.
"You have no choice, I'm staying!" The flame soldier shouted.

The flame soldier then took the necklace Skye's mother gave her because Skye protested against him.

After the flame soldier took Skye's necklace, she got even madder at him and tried to take the necklace back.
The flame soldier didn't like what Skye did and took her away to a women's institution for holding until her trial.

When it was time for Skye's trial, she noticed that the judge and the jury both lived in rich areas of Volta.
After a long trial, Skye was found guilty.
