Fact about her: She looked over all the women
in Rome and the month June was named after
her. She had a festival dedicated to her in
Rome on the 1st and 2nd of March.

What he was worshiped for: He was the god of
the sea.
Fact about him: He was feared by the people
who built their houses along the coast. His
symbol was a trident that he used to control
the sea.

Greek Mythology: Hades
What he was worshiped for: He was the god of
the underworld.
Fact about him: He kidnapped Persephone as
his wife to live in the underworld and be his
queen of the realm.

What he was worshiped for: He was the god of
war and protector of farming and livestock.
Fact about him: He was the son of Jupiter and
Juno, he was the father of Romulus (the
founder of Rome). He was also very cruel and
was disliked among the gods.

travellers. He was also the messenger of the
gods.
Fact about him: He was the son of Jupiter. His
symbols were intertwining snake heads and his
winged helmet.

What she was worshiped for: Goddess of Love
Fact about her: She is the mother or Cupid and
the daughter of Jupiter.

What he was worshiped for: The smith of the
gods and the god of fire
Fact about him: He crafted Jupiter’s
thunderbolts and created people made of gold
that helped him with his work.

Greek Mythology: Apollo
What he was worshiped for: The god of the
Sun and he was also the god of music
Fact about him: According to mythology, he
drove his fiery chariot across the sky every day
to bring light to the world. He also plays the
harp because he is the god of music.
