In the age of exploration from approximately the 15th century to the 17th century many diseases were being past around since there was lots of traveling around. Some are smallpox, mumps, whooping cough, chicken pox, and typhus.

Small Pox
Smallpox is a contagious disease caused by the variola virus and caused millions of deaths before a vaccine. The vaccine is the first successful vaccine to be made. The disease could last 7-17 days after getting it. Some symptoms are rashes, fatigue, back pain and vomiting.
Whooping Cough
Whooping Cough is an extremely contagious disease. It's very very dangerous and could be fatal. One symptom is a horrible cough caused by the organism Bordetella.

Chicken Pox
Chickenpox is a disease that is commonly caused by the varicella-zoster virus. Some things you can experience during chicken pox Are itchy bumps, Headache, fever, and cough. It normally lasts 4-7 days but can last longer which makes for less people working on the ships.

Conclusion
So in conclusion many diseases affected lives during the age of exploration. They affected the way people work and how productive they are.
