Hello class, I´m Maria Elena and

I became Pharaoh Hatshepsut around 1478 BC after the death of my husband, who was also my half-brother, Pharaoh Thutmose II. Being a female pharaoh was rare in ancient Egypt

During my reign, I was fascinated by architecture! I didn't build the pyramids; they were already ancient when I ruled. However, I did work on temples, palaces, and monuments to honor the gods.

I am known for being one of the few female pharaohs in ancient Egypt and for my successful reign. I focused on trade, art, and architecture, leaving a lasting legacy in Egyptian history.

ALEXANDRIA, 46BC
Welcome, young explorers! I am Cleopatra VII, the last pharaoh of Egypt. Imagine the golden sands, the Nile River, and the grand pyramids. Let's embark on a journey to discover the wonders of ancient times!
My parents were Ptolemy XII Auletes and likely Cleopatra V Tryphaena. My family, the Ptolemaic dynasty, ruled Egypt for generations.
I became pharaoh when I was just 18 years old, after the death of my father. I ruled Egypt with my brother, but soon took full control.
I had four children, three sons(2 with Julius Cesar), and one daughter(with Marc Anthony). My sons' names were Caesarion, Alexander Helios, and Ptolemy Philadelphus, and my daughter's name was Cleopatra Selene II.

During my reign, I focused on temples, public buildings, and beautifying Alexandria
I studied in the great Library of Alexandria. It was one of the most famous library in the ancient world and held many important scrolls and books. It was a place of learning and knowledge, also,
I studied many languages, including Egyptian, Greek, and Latin. Being able to speak different languages helped me communicate with other people and other religions
