In Muslim World, Holy three months start with "Şivlilik". In Konya, "Şivlilik" has a very important place. People begin to celebrate it one day before Regaib holynight. In the evening different activities and festivals take place.

Easter is also the most important and the oldest festival of Christian Church. It starts on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the northern spring equinox.

In Easter and Sivlilik, people decorate streets and make some preperations to celebrate these special days.

In supermarkets, candies, lanterns and sweets are sold. People buy these before a couple of days.

Women cook delicious biscuits called BİŞİ in Turkish, which are made of yeasted dough and fried in very hot oil, and serve them to their neighbourhood.
