Dedicated to Thurgood Marshall

Thurgood Marshall was born on July 2, 1908 in Baltimore, Maryland.
As a child, he would listen to cases at the local courthouses with his father.
After he graduated from high school, he attended Lincoln University in Pennsylvania.
After college, Thurgood applied to University of Maryland but was discriminated because of his race and was not accepted.
He attended Howard University instead and graduated in 1933, soon after joining the NAACP.
in 1954, a group of black students and parents hired Thurgood to represent them in court when they challenged the Kansas Board of Education in Brown vs. Board of Education.
In parts of the United States, it was legal to send students of different races to different schools and Thurgood fought to stop that.
