Davy Crockett was born on August 17, 1786. He loved to hunt in the woods of Tennessee, to feed his family. From the time he was a boy, he did not like bullies. So, he was became a military man to fight for justice.

Davy married Polly and had two boys, John Wesley and William Finley. When Polly died he decided to remarry Elizabeth. Elizabeth and Davy had three more children, Robert Patton, Rebecca Elvira and Matilda.

Davy was a wild spirit. He was never satisfied in the careers he ever chose. He worked hard to make a difference. He was a peace officer, farmer, hunter, state legislature and congressman for Tennessee and military man. All these things he did well, to the best of his ability.
