The Revolution was a very important war that freed us from England. That's why you have the right to read this book. You may not have been allowed to if we had not won that war. I would not have written this book. If the Revolution was so important, why not read about some of the heroes in the Revolution?
The Revolution

Battles
There were some very important battles. Let's talk about them.
Battle of Sullivan's Island
This is the same battle where William Jasper raised the colors. This battle took place on Sullivan's Island. When the British ships fired, the palmetto logs that made up the fort absorbed enemy fire. The Patriots sent the ships back to England when they won. This battle is also why the palmetto is the state tree.

This battle is where Andrew Pickens and Daniel Morgan set a trap for the British. This was the last major battle in South Carolina.
In the battle, the front lines acted like they were retreating. The second line did the same. While the British charged, they found themselves facing the Continental Army. They were forced to retreat.
Battle of Cowpens
In this battle, the Patriots surprised the British. They attacked when they could. The British fought back, but they had to retreat. They had to retreat without many weapons. The Patriots stole the remaining supplies.
Battle of Eutaw Springs
The Revolution was an important part of the history of South Carolina. This changed the course of history in America and England.
