Chloe Never Gives Up

“Chloe serving for championship point.” A commentator speaks quietly as the crowd hushes their words. Nothing but silence was to be heard in the arena.

A few seconds pass, then the crowd began to roar with clapping and loud cheers. “She’s done it! Chloe Rose is this year’s U.S. open champion!”

Before eight-year-old Chloe Rose was on almost every magazine your mother read,  she stumbled across a few challenges.

Chloe spent hours of hard work to get to the top.

Along with those hours of hard work came moments of disappointment and frustration.

But, Chloe never gives up.

Each year, there are four grand slams: the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and finally, the U.S. Open.

Chloe had to work super hard if she wanted to bring home a trophy almost as big as she was.

January

The Australian Open

The heat in Australia was almost too much for the players to bare.

Chloe tried not to let the weather or her loss bother her, so she said to herself,

“Chloe never gives up.”

Back to training she went, correcting her mistakes and working hard.

May

The French Open

Chloe has been preparing for this tournament for months and was feeling very confident.

She wasn’t sure what went wrong when she came home without another trophy.

“It’s alright, Chloe never gives up.”

July

Wimbledon

Chloe was beginning to feel less confident. She was not her usual self and many of her fans noticed that something was missing. No confidence meant no victories.

“This is ridiculous!” Chloe shouted. “How will I ever win a grand slam if I can’t win a match?"
