The high tech I chose for my student is a collection of an app and website my student can use .

The app is social stories my student will use when experiencing certain emotions. The website uses videos to teach students and young adults.

Autism Emotion is the application portion.

There are four social stories to choose from.

I selected this application because I wanted to find something my student can use outside of the classroom to help him with his emotions. He enjoys technology and still uses social stories if they're around. This was the best way I found to combine them.

When my student used this application, he immediately was interested and wanted to learn what it was. He doesn’t read well, however, is very tech savvy. Right away he was able to start the app and proceeded to choose the happy icon (which I was also happy about). He went through the social story messing around with a few of the icons. He understood the social story and pointed out that he is currently happy. .
