Two important parts of being a super teacher is a super lesson plan, and teaching abstract or "nebulous" concepts!



I used to think I understood lesson planning...but now I think that learning to lesson plan is a constant learning process!
I used to think that concept mapping was used for brainstorming a diagnosis, as I learned in nursing school...Now I know that It can be used for many abstract concepts, to arrange, and to link things.
I think that concept mapping will be an invaluable tool for linking many ideas in social studies/history!
The use of Bloom's and the ABCD objective writing techniques will give you super lessons!

21st Century Learning
In today's world, to be super, it is necessary to teach students about the new technology and the ISTE Standards, as well as 21st century skills are essential!



I used to think that sine I have taken many online college courses, that I was keeping up with technology..now I know that it is a constant struggle to stay up to date. The ISTE Standards and 21st Century Skills need to be built into my lesson plans, and I need to keep trying and searching for new advances!
The ISTE Standards that I need to integrate into History are Knowledge constructor, Innovative designer, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator!
21ST Century skills to integrate are the four C's. Info. and media Literacy, as well as some Life/career skills!
