He grew up in Washington, Seattle with an amazing and supportive family who encouraged his interest in computers at a very early age. Bill Gate dropped out of college to start Microsoft with his childhood friend Paul Allen. He is best known as the founder of the Microsoft Corporation. WHen he worked in Microsoft Gates, held a couple of important positions while working on Microsoft. Such as chairman of the board, chief executive officer as a CEO, and chief software architect.

Mr. Gates is one of the best known entrepreneurs that emerged during the early personal computers. Mr. Gates has been criticized for his business tactics, which have been considered anti competitive, an opinion that in some cases has been upheld by numerous court rulings. Bill Gates is married to Melinda Gates, with whom he shares the presidency of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, dedicated to balancing opportunities in health and education at the local level, especially in the less favored regions, which is why they have been awarded the Prince of Asturias Award for International Cooperation.

In 1980, he met with representatives of IBM in Seattle. They wanted to have the operating system. He told them about the existence of an adapted version called QDOS or 86DOS, committing to obtain a non-exclusive license in order to adapt it. With this, he managed to sell them the idea of the MS-DOS operating system, without counting on it, buying the 86DOS at a very low price from the young programmer Tim Paterson. IBM needed that operating system to compete with Apple, which is why the negotiation was flexible. Microsoft wanted licensing, maintenance, and even the power to sell DOS to other companies. IBM agreed, considering that what would produce dividends would be the hardware and not the software. A few days later, Microsoft purchased the copyright of the QDOS from Tim Paterson, who worked for the Seattle Computer Products, for $ 50,000, which he sold to IBM as MS-DOS (Microsoft DOS).
