CURR 112: Application of Current Brain Theories
Having knowledge on the brain theories is important to understanding the way our students will learn. As educators, having this knowledge will help us become better teachers, if we better understand the roles our students take in the learning process. By adapting our teaching style accordingly, we will be able to reach more students intellectually within our classrooms.

CURR 113: Building Positive Relationships in the Classroom
Building positive relationships with our students is important to creating a welcoming classroom community. Students in our classroom will be more engaged as well as willing to work hard in our classrooms, when they feel a part of the community. It is important to get to know our students on a deeper level, and I am excited to get to do that in my own classroom one day.

CURR 113: Classroom Community Games
Classroom community games are important because they establish SEL competency skills. I can utilize fun community games in my classroom to build self-confidence, empathy, and relationship-building. These are excellent because in addition, they promote self-awareness, responsible decision making skills, and social awareness skills among classmates. Examples: "Just Like Me" Game

TECH 110: Demo Slam! Screencastify commercial
This project showed a great tool that I will utilize in my classroom one day. Screencastify (Demo Slam Project) is a screen recording application for Google Chrome. I thought this was a great tool, and it can be utilized for students in my own classroom to record and present their knowledge on a topic. This would make for fun and interactive classroom projects, as well it would give students technological tools.

CURR 119: Equality versus Equity
Learning about the differences between Equity and Equality is extremely important to understand within the classroom. I will utilize equity in my classroom in order to make sure my students have opportunities that are weighed equal to succeed. I will do activities in my own classroom that will make sure students who need extra help or tools to succeed will receive them.

EL114: Getting to Know Your English Learners
Making sure our English Language learners feel as a part of our classroom community as our other students is extremely important. Making sure we learn about the students we are teaching, and get to know them and their families well, will set them up for success on their learning paths. I want to make sure I know my student's backgrounds, their family lives, their language and culture, as well as knowing their interests (in order to make better connections with them).

CURR 122: Ice Breaker Lesson Plan
This assignment was important for me as it gave me a chance to come up with an Icebreaker activity to use in my own classroom. "Icebreakers" are important because they allow students to feel comfortable in their learning environments. This assignment also allowed me to create a lesson plan regarding that icebreaker activity. This is an important skill I will need to utilize when I have my own classroom. Planning carefully thought out lessons are important to meeting classroom objectives and goals, and allow the day to run much more smoothly.
CURR 111A: "Joy" Assignment
The "21 Days of Joy" Assignment was one of my first major assignments in my pre-service program. I found that this assignment was a great way to kick start the program, and allowed me to connect kindly with the people in my life. I really enjoyed doing this assignment. Striving to bring joy to someone else each day was exciting and rewarding. I can utilize this assignment in my own classroom one day and I think it is suitable for all age groups. I find it important to teach our students how to be kind and spread love to one another, rather than hate.
