It's the night before the first day of school and Mrs. Hood can not sleep. She is constantly thinking of ways to teach her new students with various forms of technology. She knows with the new norm, her lessons need to be engaging as well as motivating. She wants to do all of this while teaching her students digital citizenship. She knows this must be  #thebestyearever! 

According to the ISTE standard 7a, Mrs. Hood must ensure her students are global collaborators. Students will use various digital tools to connect with other learners of various backgrounds and cultures. Mrs. Hood wants to ensure her students are actively engaged in every lesson, but how will she do this?

Mrs. Hood gets to work. She has to make this year #thebestyearever! She reads and surfs the internet for innovative ideas.

She did a lot of thinking, and reading and working late. Sometimes, she became overwhelmed and frustrated.  Finally, she felt she found a framework to ensure her lessons were meaningful and would "stick".
