1.What is an ecosystem?
The ecosystem is a natural community of living things and non-living things. They interact to each other. There are two types of ecosystems, the terrestrials and the aquatics.


2. How is this ecosystem?
The Arctic is located in the North Pole and it is part of some countries which are, Russia, USA, Canada, Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
The weather is very cold. Approximately, the lower temperature is -46°C and the highest 15,2 °C.

3. Living things
Living things are organisms that grow, reproduce, and need air, water and nutrients to survive. In the Arctic live two types of living things, which are animals and plants.




Animals:
Polar bear:
The scientific name of polar bear is “Ursus maritimus”. Polar bears are big, male polar bears weighs between 800 and 1300 pounds and female polar bears weighs between 300 – 400 pound.
Polar bears are bigger than the arctic foxes. Polar bears are between 6 and 9 feet long and they have a small tale.

The arctic rabbit:
The artic rabbit is white and small, it is smaller than the artic fox. It has two ears, one tail and four legs. In winter it eats parts of the trees but in summer it eat grass.
