Greetings earthling!

My name is Robby the space robot.

Have you ever thought about the 

world around you?

You live on a planet called Earth.

Earth is orbited by a satellite called the 

Moon.

On July 16, 1969 the United States

of America launched space 

shuttle Apollo 11.

They hoped that they could

successfully land on the Moon

for the first time in history.

The astronauts that controlled Apollo 11 

from the inside were Neil Armstrong, 

Michael Collins, and Edwin Aldrin Jr.

After about three 

days in space 

Armstrong, Collins, 

and Aldrin went into 

the Moon's orbit.

After about three days and a rest period, 

Armstrong and Aldrin boarded a lunar 

module while preparing to descend to the 

Moon's surface.

The spacecraft landed in the Sea of 

Tranquility on the Moon. 

After landing Neil Armstrong prepared to 

descend onto the surface of the Moon.

step foot onto the 

Moon's surface.
