One cold night in the desert, there was a sandstorm.  It looked like a dull orange colour, blowing on the ground and in the sky.  

‘Two snow cub twins called Frosty and Pearl were walking around and they saw a group of meerkats. The leader’s was named Claw.

The cubs were looking at the meerkats and the meerkats were looking at the snow cubs.   Then the meerkats tried to hurt the snow cubs by jumping on them and circling around them.

The meerkats thought the cubs were trying to steal their food!

All the desert food

Frosty, the boy cub, was trying to fight the meerkats because he didn’t want his sister, Pearl to get hurt.  In the fight, the cubs got scratched by the meerkats jumping on them.  The stripes appeared on their fur!

Pearl then ran back home to her tree log cave.  Frosty  tried to fight the meerkats and ran at them.  He hurt one of them very badly.

The meerkats then ran back home to their underground hole.  They were feeling sad because they got hurt in the fight.
