WHAT DOES HEALTHY LIFE STYLE MEAN ?
A lifestyle which includes activities and habits that encourage the development of total physical, mental, and spiritual fitness, and which reduces the risk of major illness. Healthy activities and habits include regular exercise; a balanced, nutritious diet; adequate sleep and relaxation; abstaining from smoking and taking nonessential drugs; and moderating the intake of alcohol.
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle involves a combination of factors that contribute to overall well-being, including physical, mental, and emotional health. Here are some key components of a healthy lifestyle
Nutritious Diet: Eating a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats is essential for providing your body with the necessary


nutrients it needs to function properly. Limiting processed foods, sugary snacks, and excessive amounts of saturated and trans fats is also important
REGULAR EXERCISE Engaging in regular physical activity is crucial for maintaining a healthy weight, strengthening muscles and bones, improving cardiovascular health, and boosting mood. Children and adolescents should engage in at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous-intensity physical activity daily. Most of the daily physical activity should be aerobic, such as running, swimming, or cycling. Activities that strengthen muscles and bones should be included at least three days per week. Examples include jumping, climbing, or playing games that involve running and jumping.



ADEQUATE SLEEP
Getting enough high-quality sleep is essential for overall health and well-being. Most adults need 7-9 hours of sleep per night to function optimally, children and adolecents need to sleep between 8 to 13 hours per day depending of the age group. Poor sleep has been linked to various health issues, including obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and mental health disorders.
