What is digital divide?
Digital divide is a term that refers to the gap between demographics and regions that have access to modern information and communications technology, and those that don't or have restricted access. This technology can include the telephone, television, personal computers and the Internet.

2
History of the internet
As you can all see, the internet has been around and was invented for a long time. Computers were made a long time and was used for communication during the cold war. Although the internet was created in the United States, it was made so that it would be able to identify codes and for communication during the cold war. Back then, when it was first created the computers would fill up entire rooms, and now computers can be very small and we have a lot of different types of computers and all different brands. You can see the development that internet has made and how it has improved.
3
Globalization
Globalization is the process of interaction and integration among the people, companies, and governments of different nations, a process driven by international trade and investment and aided by information technology. This process has effects on the environment, on culture, on political systems, on economic development and prosperity, and on human physical well-being in societies around the world. Globalization has brought the world closer together, an example of that is with technology, social media and world wide companies.

4
Globalization
An example of technology and social media are Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and these companies are a part of globalization because it helps people communicate not with only people in the same country but with others in different nations. And also with the spread of news, the world is closer together and more aware of what is going on in different countries. An example of an international company is MC Donalds, they have restaurants all over the world and all of the people know and have eaten at least one day in MC Donalds.

5
Effects of internet on people
Internet has an impact on people because today everything they do is through social media and the internet. To look at news, we go to different sites in the internet, to look at pictures and stay connected with our friends we look at social media. We can shop online and send texts and everything else.

6
Effects of internet on economy
It has affected the world’s economy because people can do their shopping online and also marketing. Today when people see marketing online, it is easier for them to find new stores and also better deals. World’s trading has also improved a lot, for example we are able to transport objects from different parts of the world, that links back to globalization.

7
Effects of internet on government
It has affected the government because during the election period, all of the marketing is made through social media, they try to convince their population that they are the best choice for their country. It can also be used to create alliance of the citizens against their government just like it is happening in Brazil. All of the walks were created by social media, through whats app, like that the whole country knew what it was happening.
