Introduction
Their are many different animals in Africa. You are going to learn about three of them, lions, cheetahs, and gazelles. You might be asking why these three animals. Well I will tell you, but first you need to read my book. There are so many exciting facts, so come with me and learn about these animals.
Hunting with the families
So I see you came with me, to the animal world. RROOAARR!!! Did you hear that? It sounded like a lion which reminded me that I wanted to talk to you about how the lion families work in hunting
According to the book "Lions" the lions split up in two groups. Group one blends in to the grass,
then sneaks to the front of the herd to scare the herd to group two. A herd is a group of animals. They are waiting in the back so when the herd runs to the back, they will both grab the animal from the back and pull it down. Then the lion bites on its neck so it can not breathe and bon appétit they have dinner.
So remember if you go to Africa don't stop to pet the lions, because you don't know when they're going to attack.
Apparently you ran out of there as fast as you could. You heard that they could attack when they wanted to, but there are many adaptations that help them that help them do what they do. Adaptation is a skill that helps it survive
Earlier you heard a lion roar. It was probably warning us to get off of his territory, but they also use it to tell other lions in its group that he is in trouble.
Adaptations
They also have rough tongues so they can peel the meat off of the bone. If they get kicked they will not feel much because there stomach is stretchy like rubber. According to the web site Daily News a baby lion roared faintly for the first time, in front of a group of people so they will have a memory they will never forget.
If they did not have adaptations it would be very bad because they need adaptations to live.
Helping them run fast
Hello animal lovers. We are going to learn about the fastest animals, the cheetahs. You might know that they are incredibly fast, but do you know why?
There are numerous reasons why they are fast. For starters they have claws that dig into the ground and that helps them push them forward. They have long tails and stay on the top of their feet, to help them with balance. Long legs and a springy back bone helps them jump long strides to cover long distances.
They also have a slender body. That proves that cheetahs have many adaptations, to help them run faster.
