On June 19th, 1215 king John signed the Magna Carta. This was the first paper saying that a king had to follow the laws that other people had to follow. this paper also made sure that the people got their wishes against the kings wishes. this is what the Magna Carta is.

Federalism

federalism is a political philosophy in which a group of people are put together with a governing head. The authority is divided between the governing head and the political units governed by it. several countries in the world have federalism such as the USA, Canada, Switzerland, and Austria. This is what federalism is.

The Mayflower Compact

The Mayflower Compact was when 41 male pilgrims signed this document on November 21, 1620. when the men signed this document they agreed to forming a temporary government and be bound by its laws. this compact became the basis of the government in the Plymouth Colony. a couple of people who signed it were John Ridgdale, Thomas Rogers, George Soule.
